Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her stellar performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The movie Piano won her several awards which included an Oscar. Her career began as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. It has always been her love of life. When she was in fifth grade, she played Helen Keller in an original play. She was born deaf in the one ear after suffering from mumps but did not permit this to deter her desire to be an actress. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in college and moved to New York City from Pittsburgh to achieve her goals. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. As she relocated from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to get movie roles. The role of a supporting actress was secured in Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in numerous films and TV movies and series over a career spanning over three decades. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
