Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor also known as a producer, director and actress. She has been praised for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with several awards for her work which includes an Oscar. The talented actress began her career as an actor in the theatre with an array of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. The actress has had a passion for acting ever since she was in school. The first time she appeared in a show in the fifth grade was as Helen Keller. Mumps caused her to be blind and deaf in the one ear. But she refused to let that to stop her from becoming an actor. In college she studied theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dreams. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. She landed one in the role of an actress playing the lead character of Swing Shift. Her work spans over thirty years and she's appeared in a variety of TV films or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
